Mánu is a "supernatural" being that claims to be god or something of that manner, but ironically, everybody saw through him on the first day. Everyone but Rita, but Mánu himself admitted he was not a god. That wouldn't stop him from toying with the people of the universe though. It is revealed in the end of the first book though that the world of "In the Name of Hope" exists inside a USB Drive of some sorts, and that whoever was Mánu, was disposed of by Rita. In My Classmate is a God it is revealed that Mánu was actually working for Dark Alpha to perform experiments of World Objects.
